My name is Bev and I started my own kids clothing company, after being in the corporate world for many years.... My Girls were 12 and 13 and I could not find anything descent for them to wear. My 12yr old was 'chunky' and needed a ladies sz 14 which of course came with plunging necklines and low-rise / hipster pants. My 13 yr old was so tall and skinny that she needed a ladies 10 just to get the length in the arms and legs.
None of these 'womens' clothes were appropriate for 2 girls entering puberty, but none of the teenage clothes fitted them.
So, being disgruntled lead to me starting a company and going to China to find manufacturers. I have designed age appropriate childrens clothing for all kids, regardless of their size. Each item includes adjustable waists / adjustable necklines etc.
My company is called TrendyKidz and I have an online shop currently and am wholesaling to stores around australia. I have a few Party Plan consultants and desperately need more!
I am looking to recruit 16 in WA and another 16 in Adelaide in the next month. Though anyone anywhere else in Australia would be welcomed too. I pay very high commission (30%) and provide all the required stationary and a TrendyKidz Polo... the set up costs are low and my average consultants and earning around $75 / hr with the highest earning consultant getting approx $130 / hr.
The clothes are exceptional quality and most items are in the $20 - $30 range. I found I needed to have higher prices from china so as to cater for the minimum quantities required when manufacturing.... so I left China (and my marriage, and my career, all at the same time and went to Bali for a holiday..... as you do!!)
My goal is to offer an equivalent quality product to people who can not necessarily afford the designer labels in the market place. I can now do this is because I own my own factory - known as the cleanest factory in Bali!
By being a business owner in Bali, I have found that I am able to support my whole village, its school and children and also the local orphanage. I get great pleasure from seeing the staff and their families thrive and have found that starting this business has been the most satisfying thing I have ever done! My staff are really happy, They receive double the standard wage in Bali, have their health cover paid (for their families too) and a chef to cook their lunch each day.
I get to go to Bali every 6-8 weeks, so have found my dream job...
Now it just needs to GROW! My consultants are in a friendly sales competition and the winner will get a ticket to Bali with some spending money, to see the factory and have a relaxing holiday!
