Mug and teabag

Melinda wrote:

Hi all,

Has anyone tried giving people who book parties a mug, a teabag and a kit kat, with their catalogues, telling them to have a break on you, while your enjoying your cuppa and kit kat have a look through our latest catalogue. You can even put a small sample of your product in, wrap it all up in cello with ribbons, it looks great. A lot of people book to get the cup.I use yellow smiley face cups. I would be interested to hear if anyone has tried this and what their reponse was.

Cool idea Melinda!!   I think you could use Coffee Bags as well in your little packages.     These always smell divine and enticing.

I have also seen this done with just a catalogue.  For example if you want to send out a new catalogue at the beginning of a season, just staple a tea bag and a verse to it and tell your customer to take 5 and relax and read and to ring you if they find something they would like.

I LOVE this idea!  Our new Catty comes out in a couple of months and I'm definately going to use this idea!!!  Thanks so much!!!

When I was a Tuppertart there was a special little verse.  I will see if I can find it and post it here soon.

rachep replied:

Thats a great idea.  I must try that myself and see if i get any leads from it.

I give every one of my hostesses a Discreet mug with my contact details on it and some naughty choccies inside.  This is just a little gift from me to make sure my hostesses feel special.

My mum has a small printing business at home, so I got her to make up some mugs for me with our company logo and my contact details and I make the choccies myself.

An appreciated gift and also great for advertising too.

kim025 replied:

Hi [ExMember148],  Were you able to find the verse at all??

ExMember148 replied:

Thanks for reminding me, I will check again, failing I don't find it this time, I will make one up for you, I am always making up verses for birthdays etc etc

ExMember148 replied:

Ok, So I had a look, but I can't find the exact verse I am after.  Here are a few that I found, and you can always play on the words to suit your own company etc.

I wish we could sit down together
And have a cup of tea
But since we can’t,
When you have this one
I hope you’ll think of me.

A catalogue to browse
And a bag of tea
When you read the book

and drink the tea

Think of love from me.

Anyway, I will keep looking for the original...........

Jae replied:

Thats a great idea.. I will have to give that a go. Maybe have a coffee bag ones too instead of tea bags. Personally I dont like tea so would appreciate a coffee one. :)

I have used a similar idea to this with the Time Out bar, I would stick one in my party packs with a small card that read Take Time Out on me~!

Worked really well, it always amazed me how many people booked to get that chokkie

With christmas fast approaching I was wondering how many ladies are trying this idea with their catalogues.

Here's a verse I found to go with the christmas theme idea

Christmas time is coming

So take a break on me

let me help your shopping

while you enjoy this  cup of tea.

we have loads for you to choose from,

while you nibble on a chocky,

Make a santa wish list

then call me when you're ready.

Lilygirl

How about a coffee sachet and a candy cane.

I always put a teabag on my business cards but think I will branch out a bit soon.

Mugs, coffee/tea and a chochie is a great idea.
