My business means everything to me. So it makes sense I want to always present myself in doing the right thing and to look professional. To look professional I wear my name badge, a black skirt and white or dressy shirt or better still a lovely summer dress for all my spas.

Enjoying life is just one part of my business. I have to enjoy what I'm selling and doing, not to mention I have to use the products. I see so many people on these forums and around the industry joining company's when they don't even use the products or believe in them. It seems to me people are more motivated by money and rewards then the actual product. Selling a product to friends and family you don't use or believe in seems like a lie to me. It would be something I would never think of or do.

So simply, what is the reason for writing this blog - I have none because I want to make 2009 a better year, a year to express my talents, a year to achieve success, a year to become a sales manager, a year to receive a company car, what is your 2009 I know mine and now I'm off to walk the dog, later on today I have a spa experience with a few ladies, thinking of it how much will I make, I know what I'm going to make because I have rsvp's, hostess coaching and all the materials, all done previous to the spa.

SO DON'T JUST THINK POSITIVE, BE IT AS WELL!

What Are Parabens?
Parabens are a very common group of organically synthesized preservatives used in cosmetics as well as drugs and foods. As a group of multiple compounds, they include methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, isobutylparaben, and butylparaben. Abstract

The Parabens are esters of p-hydroxybenzoic acid (PHBA) and are the most commonly used as preservatives in cosmetic formulations. Data obtained from chronic administration studies indicate that Parabens are rapidly absorbed, metabolized, and excreted.

Acute chronic and subchronic toxicity studies in animals indicate that Parabens are practically nontoxic by various routes of administration. Methylparaben and Ethylparaben at 100 percent concentration were slightly irritating when instilled into the eyes of rabbits.

Numerous in vitro mutagenicity studies indicate that the Parabens are non-mutagenic. Methylparaben was noncarcinogenic when injected in rodents or when administered intravaginally in rats. Cocarcinogenesis studies on Propyl- and Methylparaben were negative. Teratogenic studies on Methyl- and Ethylparaben were also negative.

Parabens are practically nonirritating and nonsensitizing in the human population with normal skin. Paraben sensitization has been reported when Paraben-containing medicaments have been applied to damaged or broken skin. Photo-contact sensitization and phototoxicity tests on product formations of Methyl-, Propyl-, and/or Butylparaben gave no evidence of significant photoreactivity.

It is concluded that Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, and Butylparaben are safe as cosmetic ingredients in the present practices of use.

Hello all!!!

Well, got some hand cream and some soap and some body butter for Christmas!

Yay you might be thinking, but it's hard to be appreciative when it has so many nasty ingredients in them!!!

Let me give you a quick rundown.

Alot of cosmetic products contain PEG-20 as a emulsifier and all sorts of Parabens as a preservative.

- I googled this for an easy explanation!

: Polyethylene Glycol (PEG): potentially carcinogenic petroleum ingredient that can alter and reduce the skin's natural moisture factor. This could increase the appearance of aging and leave you more vulnerable to bacteria. Used in cleansers to dissolve oil and grease. It adjusts the melting point and thickens products. Also used in caustic spray-on oven cleaners.

Hmmm. Sound good? and then there's Parabens. These are used in HEAPS of beauty products. (I copied the following from my Squeaky Green Book)

: Parabens are an ingredient in body lotion, shaving gel, shampoo, and toothpaste, and have been found intact in breast tumors.
Parabens are endocrine disruptors, meaning, they can mimic estrogen in the body. It's this endocrine disruption that's considered a risk factor for BREAST CANCER.

Any word on the ingredient list that ends in "-aben" is a paraben. See that ending? Avoid the product!

So, as a general rule, I try to find products that don't contain these things in them! Yes, it makes things difficult, and more expensive, but if they are better for my body and my kids in the long run, I think it's worth it!

Keep your Diary Organised: the Power of Post-Its

Your diary can easily end up in a mess by the end of the month as people change their party dates. You may have to cross them out and rewrite them, sometimes more than once. You can end up with scribbles, arrows, white-out and squashed up writing that is hard to read.

Try this: Write the booking details on a small Post-it and stick it in your diary on the appropriate date. Only write it directly into your diary after the party has been held. Up until then anything could happen and if a date moves you can simply shift the Post-it. No more mess and much better organised!

Transfer the Post-it to your customer care call list once you have done the party and go from there!

Not really something you want to put in your mouth huh?

Hi All,

Considering I am on few days off from work, i've had a chance to view most of the titled posts for the last 18 months on PP.com with a disturbing trend happening.

Many of the consultants advertising from the various PP companies are wanting to recruit other consultants.

Now, the word recruit, doesn't sit well with me because it gives the impression or implies, that they want to recurit someone to help sell/market their product/s and then they reap most of the rewards.

Whereas, Sponsoring is were an up-line/sponsor, what ever, helps the new consultant become successful in their own right, which ,in turns helps grow the upline/sponsors business turn over, which compensates them for the time and effort, spent helping the new consultant.

If one is looking at a new business/Party plan company, then I would suggest you look very carefully at how it's structured.

Why I think Amway products are so great.

Well, I've been buying Amway products for over 10yrs now, and I still have clothing that I constantly wear which is around the same age. I've never heard of or used a product that looks after my clothes as good. I know that there a lot of people out there who has at some stage been approached by someone in Amway and I recognise that fact that some of those Amway distributors have been pushy and over the top, which is not the way in which to do business, I might ad. But the fact that Amway products are exceptional products remain.

The Amway laundry care products are develped to work together. This means if you use a pre-soaker or a pre-stainer spray, they work with the washing powder or liquid when washing you clothes.

In the case of buying the same type of products from a supermarket, it's most likely the pre-soaker &/or the pre-stainer are made from different companies from the washing powder/liquid, therefore, they are not designed (chemically) to work together to achieve the results a consumer would like from washing their clothes.

Background info for those who don't know! Method is a no nasties company that have partnered with ENJO to make up the extra 10% of cleaning that microfibre technology cannot clean.

This is my first blog… so here goes…..

Let me tell you a bit about myself, what I do and how do I do photo readings.

I often have questions asked of me on how I do it.

By the way I love questions, so feel free to ask me anything.

I was born with what some people would say (a gift) I guess in today's language, I am

a medium. So that means I can communicate to people and animals in the here and

now and who have passed over. I can do readings of people or animals from a

photograph.

I have had three near death experiences whereby I have passed over myself. The first

time was when I was born (technically considered clinically dead) and they had to

revive me.

The second time I had major surgery on my back. I remember seeing the operation

being done on me. I described to the doctors and nurses afterwards the surroundings,

the people in the room and the floor and walls. The doctors and nurses were amazed

as there was no way I could have seen the operating theatre as I was under

anaesthetic.

The third time was when I suddenly took sick. I remember going in the ambulance.

That time I felt really comfortable, I saw a white light and it was as like I was going

somewhere. I do remember being thrust back into my body.

Anyway enough about my near death experiences.

I have had many visions over the years, at first I thought I was going mad but then the

visions would come true. As a little child it was very confusing but as I grew up I got

used to what I can call my animals guiding me. For me it's like watching a movie

played out in front of me. I see the people, hear them and sometimes smell the

fragrance they’re wearing at the time.

So I have a deep connection with animals. They have been a constant in my life as I

was brought up in a children's home and animals were my family. I started by calling

birds and then they would come to me. I was just five years old; I thought this was

normal that all people could hear the animals when they talked. So then I was invited

to be on television that was one of many appearances. I have trained animals for

advertising and television commercials. Over the years I have trained and

communicated with many and varying animals. From Whales to Rabbits and

everything in between.

Do I see the future?

NO I see one pathway that the person could take. If their guides feel it necessary to

offer them options than I give them a glimpse of options a, b, c.

How accurate am I?

Well I've been an animal behaviourist for over 20 years. I studied veterinary science

and graduated in psychoanalytical behaviour. But I found after all that the most

accurate tool I have is being a medium. I have been unbelievably accurate with

conditions in animals and physiological problems in people. Some people say 85%

and approximately one to two weeks on the side of the event or issue happening.

Anyway I hope this answers some of your questions.

By the way every body tells me, I can talk a leg off a chair. So if you need any advice
