Robert Kiyosaki recommends Network Marketing

Below is an extract from Robert Kiyosaki's book, The Cashflow Quadrant IN which speaks about the 4 methods of earning an income E = Employed, S = Self Emplyed/Small Business Owner, B = Big Business/Owner, I = Investor and why he recommends Network Marketing for the average person, to be able to move into the "B" or "I" quadrants.

Most people operate in the “E” Quadrant, you have found a safe secure Job that may or may not pay well and may have some further benefits. In the “S” Quadrant, you set the rate of Pay, you charge for your time, be it by the hour or by the service you provide. Many types of tradesmen, medical practitioners and the legal profession operate from this quadrant. While many people are very successful here, if there is no work completed, there is no income earned.
In the “B” quadrant you are asking, who can I employ or teach to make this money for me? Having others working for you to help you achieve your dreams and goals, this is leverage. Operating from the “I” Quadrant, you are using money to make money, usually the money you have earned from operating a successful business.

Network Marketing, also called multilevel marketing or direct distribution systems. Just as with franchises, the legal system initially attempted to outlaw network marketing, and I know of some countries that have succeeded in outlawing or severely restricting it. Any new system or idea often goes through this period of being classified as "strange and suspicious." At first, I also thought that network marketing was a scam. But over the years, I have studied the various systems available through network mareting, and I have watched several friends become successful at this form of "B'. I have changed my mind.

After I dropped my prejudices and began researching network marketing, I found that there were many people who were sincerely and diligently building successful network marketing businesses. When I met these people, I saw the impact their businesshad on other people's lives and financial futures. I began to truly appreciate the value of the network marketing system. For a reasonable entry fee (often around $200), people can buy into as existing system and immediately start building their business. Due to the technological advances in the computer industry, these organizations are totally automated, and the headaches of paperwork, order processing, distribution, accounting and follow-up are almost entirely managed by the network mareting softwear systems. New distributors can focus all of their efforts in building their business through sharing this automated business opportunity instead of worrying about the normal start-up headaches of small business.

One of my old friends who did more than a billion dollars in real estate in 1997 recently signed on as a network marketing distributor and began building his business. I was surprised to find him so diligently building a network marketing business because he definitely did not need the money. When I asked him why, he explained it this way:

"I went to school to become a CPA, and I have and MBA in finance. When people ask me how I became so rich, I tell them about the multimillion-dollar real estate transactions I do and the hundreds of thousands of dollars in passive income I receive each year from my real estate. I then notice that some of them withdraw or shy away. We both know that their chances of doing multimillion-dollar real estate investments like I do are slim to none. Besides not having the educational background, they do not have the extra capital to invest. So I began to look for a way I could help them achieve the same level of passive income I developed from real estate.....without going back to school for six years and spending 12 years investing in real estate. I believe network marketing gives people the opportunity to build up the passive income they need for support while they learn to become professional investors. That is why I recommend network marketing to them. Even if they have little money, they can still invest 'sweat equity' for five years and begin to generate more than enough passive income to begin investing. By developing their own business, they have the free time to learn and the capital to invest with me in my bigger deals."

My friend joined a network marketing company as a distributor, after researching several, and started a network marketing business with people who somday want to invest with him. He is now doing well in his network marketing business as well as in his investment business. He told me, "I did it initially because I wanted to help people find the money to invest, and now I'm getting rich from a whole new business."

Twice a month, he holds classes on Saturdays, At the first meeting, he teaches people about business systems and people, or how to develop into a successful "B." On the second meeting of the month, he teaches them about financial literacy and financial intelligence. He is teaching them to be savvy "I's." His class sizes are growing rapidly.

The pattern he recommends is the same one I recommend.

I'm adding this interesting article to my blogs because it raises some interesting questions.

Gen Y are no longer able to just rely on the income from their job (Just over broke) to help achieve the great Australian dream of owning their own home, they're needing to think outside the square and work smarter not harder. This is one of the reasons why I think Network Marketing is one of the best vehicles to help achieve the great Australian dream. Currently in our business 40 percent of the people joining are under the age of 30.

Gen Y housing dream dead amid price surge by Stuart Fagg, ninmsn Money. 21/04/2010

Generation Y is giving up on the idea of home ownership and becoming increasingly resigned to a lifetime of renting as house prices continue to surge.

Property prices have risen by nearly 13 percent in the past 12 months, according to property analyst RPData.com while the Reserve Bank has lifted interest rates five time in the last six months, further raising the barrier to entry for first home buyers.

That has led to increasing cynicism on property among young Australians, one third of whom now believe they will never own property, according to the Bankwest/Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia Home Finance Index.

"We have never seen such pessimism amongst prospective first time buyers throughout the past five indexes", and Vitoria Shortt, chief executive, Bankwest Retail, "70 percent of respondents were very concerned about the level of debt they will be committed to if they buy a property."

In addition to those who have already given up on the housing market, more than half of generation Y aged Australians are delaying their plans to property because of worries over the amount of debt they would be in.

The findings come on the back of increasing warnings that future generations may not be able to afford property as housing shortages push up prices. The Housing Industry Association warned recently that 500,000 new dewlling will be needed by 2020 to keep up with demand.

Even the Reserve Bank's boss is worried.

In a TV interview earlier this month, Glenn Stevens said he worried about whether his children would be locked out of the housing market due to rising prices.

In a recent forum on the topic, ninmsm readers confirmed Mr Stevens' fears.

"I'm 23 years old, on 55k a year and don't ever see myself being able to afford a house by myself, wrote Jimbob of Perth.

But some believe the issue lies with generation Y's lifestyle choices rather than the housing market.

"As I see it, (and I have 5 kids) the biggest problem in that today's youth and future custodians of our society, are unwilling to travel and want the biggest possible house first time around," wrote Frustrated of Orchard Hills.

Phil Naylor, Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia CEO, said young Aussies are staying at home for longer in a bid to raise the increasingly large deposits requited to get into the market.

"Given that some lenders are tightening home loan criteria, it's no surprise that prospective first time buyers will need to make a concerted effort to save for a deposit. In fact our research showed more than 25 percent of prospective first time buyers are looking to live at home in order to save a deposit," he said.

I had previously joined many party plan businesses, but never really got off the ground. I put this down to many reasons, but whatever they were it just wasn't me. Then I found Stampin' Up! and I went WOW!

I attended my first workshop with my mother in-law in Tasmania, and fell it love with their products and business. It was a great afternoon with the girls making cards, chatting and finishing with afternoon tea. Once finished I had a longing for another workshop.

I reviewed their catalogue and my wish list was huge. It was then I realised I had to join. The starter kit was an excellent way to get starter and bonus commission on the first order. That first order was all mine, and it was big!!

This time I had joined for all the right reasons. I myself love the products and they are great value for money.

I knew for the first year of my business it would be slow, with just having a baby. But it was to my surprise that still taking it slowly I managed to earn my first promotion. This has now given my even more confidence that I made the right decision.

I am calling out to all the ladies out there who are thinking of joining The Body Shop At Home.

I have been involved with The Body Shop At Home since December, but really only trying to get parties since March. My average party total would be in the high 700's. My highest so far which was my last party, was 1100!!!! Thats 250 dollars commission in one and a half hours.

Is there anyone else out there who can give me tips o how to maintain this great success? Or is there anyone out there who wants a piece of that pie......
